Family Support Adviser
My role as Family Support Adviser is to offer help, support and information to parents, carers and children on a diverse range of issues. My approach is friendly, open and honest. I work inclusively with parents and children in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the family.
The issues I am able to provide support and guidance on include behaviour, separation, lone parenting, bereavement, anxiety, and transition. The information you choose to share with me will be held confidentially and will only be shared with school on a need-to-know basis.
Taking time to talk through a concern with someone who will listen without judgment can be very beneficial. We will talk through your concerns and discuss strategies that you could try, places you can get help or targets you would like to achieve. As part of my role, I may do activities with your child to help them to build resilience, promote self-esteem etc.
If I am unable to help I will refer you on to someone who can.
